Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    bulk pork sausage
  • 1 medium
    onion
  • 1 can(s)
    tomato paste, 6 ounces
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 4 c
    elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 1 c
    sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

How to Make Macaroni and Beef Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. In a 10-inch skillet, brown beef, sausage and onion; drain fat.
  2. Add tomato paste, water, oregano and salt; simmer 5 minutes.
  3. In a 2 1/2 quart casserole layer half the macaroni, half the meat sauce and half the cheese.
  4. Repeat layers using remaining macaroni, meat sauce and cheese.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees 20 to 25 minutes.
