Ingredients

  • 16 ounces box of elbow macaroni, cooked al dente
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 - green pepper, chopped
  • 2 - stalks of celery, chopped
  • 1 small green chiles, drained (4 oz)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar (you can use a combo of different cheese if you like)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper

How To Make mac & cheese with veggies

  • Butter added to cooked macaroni.
    Step 1
    Cut the butter into small pieces. Stir it with the warm macaroni to melt.
  • Remaining ingredients mixed into macaroni.
    Step 2
    Combine all remaining ingredients.
  • Macaroni poured into casserole dish and baking in the oven.
    Step 3
    Put into a greased casserole dish. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. You might have to cover it with foil if it starts to get too brown.
