Ingredients
- GRAVY
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 sprig thyme
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- salt and pepper
- CHEESE SAUCE
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3 dashes whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons mustard powder
- 1 1/4 cups sharp white cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces velveeta
- DISH
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 pound macaroni
- salt and pepper
How To Make mac & cheese with bacon & gravy

Step 1Gravy Add the milk to a saucepan and add the thyme and bay leaf. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let sit for 30 minutes. Remove the thyme and bay leaf.and discard

Step 2In a dutch oven add the butter. When butter is melted add the flour and whisk until browned a bit. Slowly pour the milk in and cook until thickened set aside.

Step 3Cheese Sauce heat the butter in a large sauce pan. Add the flour and whisk until browned a bit. Add the milk and cream and cook until thickened. Add the cheeses and cook until melted.Set aside.

Step 4Dish Cook the bacon until browned and crisp. Drain on paper towel then crumble. Set aside

Step 5Cook the macaroni until al dente and drain. Preheat oven 400 degrees. Stir the cheese sauce into lthe macaroni.

Step 6Place the macaroni and cheese in a baking dish and smooth out the top. Sprinkle on the bacon bits. Pour the gravy over top. Bake about 35 minutes.
