Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons peanut oil
- 1/2 pound flank steak or shrimp or chicken
- 2 - celery stalks cut diagonally in thin slices
- 2 - ginger slices, minced
- 1 cup cabbage
- 1 - green onion, minced with tops
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/2 pound spaghetti or chinese noodles
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce, light
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
How To Make lo mein

Step 1Cook spaghetti as directed on package, al dente, drain, rinse in cold water, add a few drops oil and mix to keep from sticking.

Step 2Set aside.

Step 3Slice steak very thin, across the grain, 2 inch pieces.

Step 4Mix together, steak, ginger, onions, cornstarch, sugar and light soy, set aside to marinate.

Step 5Heat wok to smoking, add 2 tablespoons oil.

Step 6Stir fry meat mixture two minutes, do not overcook.

Step 7Reserve.

Step 8Add 2 tablespoons oil, heat, stir fry carrots and cabbage two minutes, add spaghetti, stir well and cook a few minutes, add meat mixture, 1 tablespoon soy and salt.

Step 9Stir a minute to heat and serve.
