This recipe was served at Christmas time in my house during our traditional Christmas Eve Dinner. (The Dinner of the Seven Fishes)

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • pinch oregano, dried
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, italian
  • 4-5 medium tomatoes, peeled, seeded & chopped
  • 3 cans 7-1/2 oz. chopped clams
  • 2 cups clam juice
  • 1 pound linguini, cooked

How To Make linguini with clam sauce

  • Step 1
    Saute garlic & onions in oil and butter. Add salt, pepper, oregano, parsley & tomatoes. Simmer 10 minutes. Add clams and clam juice, reheat. Do not overcook clams. Serve over hot linguini noodles.
