linguine with creamy mushroom sauce
Wasn't sure how this would taste when I saw the original version in the Meals In Minutes Cookbook. So glad I tried it! It is delicious! Garlicky, tangy and a bit of heat.

Ingredients
- 1 pound linguine pasta, or pasta of your choice
- 8 ounces button mushrooms, sliced
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 1-2 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine or vermouth
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme, dried
- pinch cayenne
- - salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2-1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
How To Make linguine with creamy mushroom sauce

Step 1Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Step 2In a large skillet, warm the oil over over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and saute for a minute.

Step 3Add the mushrooms and saute about 5 minutes or so. Add the wine, thyme, cayenne, salt and pepper. Stir in sour cream.

Step 4Bring almost to a boil, reduce the heat to low and keep warm while pasta cooks.

Step 5Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.

Step 6In a large bowl, combine pasta with the sauce. Toss to mix. Garnish with parsley, if desired. Serve.
