Linda Waisner gave me this recipe and it's one that you don't have to boil your noodles before making your lasagne. It's really good and I always have lots of compliments when i fix it - which is often!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, browned and drained
  • 1 tablespoon basil
  • 2 cans stewed tomatoes, italian-style
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cans tomato paste, 6 oz each
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (powdered kind)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
  • 2 - eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 box lasagna noodles, uncooked

How To Make lasagna

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef, drain and return to the pan. Simmer together, hamburger, basil, stewed tomatoes, garlic powder, salt and tomato paste. Set aside
  • Step 2
    In a separate bowl, mix: Cottage Cheese, Parmesan Cheese, salt, Parsley Flakes, Eggs and Pepper. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    Preheat oven to 350. Grease your pan. Put a small amount of meat sauce in the bottom of your pan. Begin filling your 9 x 13 pan with a layer of uncooked noodles, 1/2 meat sauce, 1/2 cheese filing and 1 cup grated Mozerella Cheese. Do it all over again, ending up with Mozerella Cheese.
  • Step 4
    Bake 30 minutes. Take out of oven and let set one hour. Return to oven, leave uncovered and bake another 15 minutes. Serve!
