Ingredients
- 2 pounds lasagna noodles, uncooked
- 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup tomatoes, (28 ounces), cut up, drained
- 2 cups tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt, divided
- 2 teaspoons dried basil, crushed
- 2 teaspoons fennel seeds
- 4 teaspoons pepper
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- 1 cup pitted ripe olives, sliced
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
How To Make lasagna deliciousa

Step 1Prepare lasagna according to package directions; drain.

Step 2Cook sausage, ground, beef, onion and garlic in large skillet over medium-high heat until sausage is no longer pink and onion is tender.

Step 3Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, 2 teaspoons of the salt, the basil, fennel seeds and pepper.

Step 4Bring to a boil over high heat.

Step 5Reduce heat to low.

Step 6Simmer, uncovered, for about 20 minutes.

Step 7In small bowl, blend ricotta, egg, parsley and remaining 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

Step 8Spoon 1 1/2 cups of meat sauce into 13x9 inch baking dish.

Step 9Layer 1/3 each of the lasagna, remaining meat sauce, ricotta mixture, olives, mozzarella and parmesan cheese into dish.

Step 10Repeat layers.

Step 11Cover with foil.

Step 12Bake at 375 for 25 minutes.

Step 13Uncover.

Step 14Bake about 20 minutes more or until heated through.

Step 15Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
