Ingredients

  • 8 sausages, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1 pound ricotta cheese
  • 2 pounds mozzarella cheese
  • 1 box lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 3 teaspoons grated parmesan cheese

How To Make lasagna

  • Step 1
    Cook noodles according to directions (ground beef can substitute for sausage).
  • Step 2
    Heat oil and saute\' garlic and onions until tender.
  • Step 3
    Add tomatoes, salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Bring to a boil then cover and simmer over low heat 1 hour.
  • Step 5
    Saute\' sausage until brown.
  • Step 6
    Discard fat.
  • Step 7
    Mix ricotta and diced mozzarella cheese together in a bowl.
  • Step 8
    Spread 1/2 cup sauce on bottom of baking pan.
  • Step 9
    Arrange noodles with layer of cheese mixture, parmesan cheese, tomato sauce and meat.
  • Step 10
    Repeat process ending with layer of noodles and sauce.
  • Step 11
    Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 20 minutes, or until hot.
