mac and cheese- knock your "red sox" off

Every year I enter a huge Mac and cheese bake off- I always come in second. This is my 2017 entry. Let's see how it goes!!

Ingredients

  • 1 box cavatappi pasta
  • 2 cans cheddar cheese soup
  • 2 cans evaporated milk
  • 1 stick butter (salted)
  • 3 - 8 oz blocks of sharp cheddar (finely shredded)
  • 3 - 8 oz blocks of super sharp cheddar (finely shredded)
  • 3 - 8oz blocks of american cheese (finely shredded)
  • 2 packages kayem natural casing hotdogs
  • 4 tablespoons mustard, spicy brown
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 - large white onion(diced)
  • 4 ounces beer, ipa preferably.

How To Make mac and cheese- knock your "red sox" off

  • Step 1
    Cook pasta in salted water
  • Step 2
    Cut hotndogs into nickle sized rounds. Fry in frying Pan with 2 tbs of butter until brown. Remove with slotted spoon .
  • Step 3
    Add 2 more TbS butter to pan and add onions. Saute until translucent.
  • Step 4
    Strain cooked pasta.
  • Step 5
    Slowly add your shredded cheese until it's all in corporated.
  • Step 6
    Add Hotdogs, onions, ketchup, and mustard. Stir until incorporated.
  • Step 7
    ( broil on high for extra 5 min for a calmelized cheese top)
