I've made several changes too this recipe' and finely got it the way I like it. I've been making this for years.This is one of my all time favoite foods.

1 14oz can(s)
diced tomatoes
1 6oz can(s)
tomatoe paste
3/4 c
water (more if needed)
2 tsp
italian seasoning
2 tsp
oregano, dried
2 tsp
basil, dried
1 1/2 tsp
garlic powder
1/2 tsp
salt and pepper(each)
1 8oz pkg
cheddar cheese, shredded
1 8oz pkg
mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 to 2 c
parmesan cheese
8 to 12
lasagna noodles, cooked (cook about 7minutes)they will finish cooking in oven.

How to Make Judy's Homemade Lasagna


  • 1In large sauce pan add hamburger & onion. cook until hamburger is brown.(drain off grease)
  • 2Add tomatos,tomato paste,water,italian seasoning,basil,garlic powder,salt,pepper. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • 3In another pot add 2 quarts water, bring to a boil add noodles,season with salt.'cook about 7 minutes.(drain)
  • 4Preheat oven to 350 degrease.
  • 5In a 9 by 12 baking dish, spread some of the sauce on bottom of dish, about 1/2 cup, Layer Noodles, meat sauce, cheddar, & mozzarella, & parmesan cheese.
  • 6Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until cheese is lightly browned on top. (remove from oven) Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
