I've made several changes too this recipe' and finely got it the way I like it. I've been making this for years.This is one of my all time favoite foods.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 14oz cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 6oz cans tomatoe paste
  • 3/4 cup water (more if needed)
  • 2 teaspoons italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons oregano, dried
  • 2 teaspoons basil, dried
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper(each)
  • 1 8oz packages cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 8oz packages mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 to 2 cups parmesan cheese
  • 8 to 12 - lasagna noodles, cooked (cook about 7minutes)they will finish cooking in oven.

How To Make judy's homemade lasagna

  • Step 1
    In large sauce pan add hamburger & onion. cook until hamburger is brown.(drain off grease)
  • Step 2
    Add tomatos,tomato paste,water,italian seasoning,basil,garlic powder,salt,pepper. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Step 3
    In another pot add 2 quarts water, bring to a boil add noodles,season with salt.'cook about 7 minutes.(drain)
  • Step 4
    Preheat oven to 350 degrease.
  • Step 5
    In a 9 by 12 baking dish, spread some of the sauce on bottom of dish, about 1/2 cup, Layer Noodles, meat sauce, cheddar, & mozzarella, & parmesan cheese.
  • Step 6
    Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until cheese is lightly browned on top. (remove from oven) Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
