Ingredients
- 1/2 pound italian sausage
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1/3 cup onion, chopped
- 2.25 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup green bell pepper, sliced
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 8 ounces ziti, uncooked
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
How To Make italian ziti medley

Step 1Slice sausage into coins.

Step 2In 4-quart saucepan, brown sausage.

Step 3Remove from pan and drain off fat.

Step 4Melt butter and cook mushrooms, pepper and onion until tender but not brown.

Step 5Blend flour into vegetable mixture.

Step 6Gradually stir in milk.

Step 7Cook, stirring constantly over medium-low heat until mixture begins to boil.

Step 8Blend in 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese and pepper until cheeses are melted and mixture is smooth.

Step 9Cook ziti according to package directions, and drain.

Step 10Stir hot cooked ziti and sausage into vegetable cheese mixture.

Step 11Boil and stir 1 minute.

Step 12Pour into buttered 2-quart casserole.

Step 13Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.

Step 14Bake covered at 350 for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
