ground beef
1 medium
onion, chopped
2 can(s)
tomato sauce, 15 ounces
2 can(s)
tomato paste, 15 ounces
1 can(s)
pitted ripe olives (7 1/2 ounces)
2 pkg
spaghetti sauce mix with mushrooms
1 c
chopped green pepper
3 c
1 Tbsp
1 tsp
oregano leaves
garlic cloves, minced
bay leaf
16 oz
uncooked long spaghetti
grated parmesan cheese

How to Make Italian Spaghetti


  • 1Cook and stir meat and onion in large skillet or dutch oven until meat is brown.
  • 2Drain off fat.
  • 3Stir in remaining ingredients except spaghetti and cheese; heat to boiling.
  • 4Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • 5Remove bay leaf.
  • 6Cook spaghetti as directed on package; drain.
  • 7Serve sauce over spaghetti and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
