This is a recipe from my husband's aunt. She received it from her Italian landlady when they lived in Europe in the 40's/50's. It calls for vermicelli, but I've also used the angel hair and spaghetti noodles and it is fine.

Add to Grocery List

1 lb
garlic bulb chopped
1/2 c
4 oz
olive oil
1 tsp
1 1/2 tsp
italian seasoning
grated romano cheese

How to Make Italian Spaghetti

  • 1Boil Vermicelli, when done rinse in warm water.

Mash garlic in butter and olive oil. Cooke and bring to a boil. Add spices.
  • 2Pour over warm vermicelli. Sprinkle with cheese when ready to serve
  • 3Keeps well in a warm oven and microwaves well for leftovers.

This tastes great as a side dish with prime rib or steaks. Add seafood for a complete dish.

    Delicious! My families favorite!
