This is a recipe from my husband's aunt. She received it from her Italian landlady when they lived in Europe in the 40's/50's. It calls for vermicelli, but I've also used the angel hair and spaghetti noodles and it is fine.

    garlic bulb chopped
  • 1/2 c
  • 4 oz
    olive oil
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • ·
    grated romano cheese

How to Make Italian Spaghetti


  1. Boil Vermicelli, when done rinse in warm water.

    Mash garlic in butter and olive oil. Cooke and bring to a boil. Add spices.
  2. Pour over warm vermicelli. Sprinkle with cheese when ready to serve
  3. Keeps well in a warm oven and microwaves well for leftovers.

    This tastes great as a side dish with prime rib or steaks. Add seafood for a complete dish.
