Ingredients
- HOMEMADE PESTO
- 3 cups fresh basil leaves
- 3 tablespoons pine nuts
- 6 cloves garlic
- 8 - pitted kalamatta olives
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup olive oil
- - salt and pepper
- CHICKEN AND PASTA
- 1 pound angel hair pasta
- 4 - boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup favorite spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup homemade pesto sauce
- 8 ounces roll of mozzarella cheese sliced into rounds
How To Make italian chicken pesto pasta

Step 1For the pesto combine all ingredients except Olive oil in a food processor. Process drizzling the olive oil through the shoot until the pesto is well combined. Set aside.

Step 2cook the pasta according to package directions and drain.

Step 3Place the olive oil in a cast iron skillet or oven safe skillet. Sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper then cook in oil until almost done. Pour in the spaghetti sauce and pesto. Add the pasta and stir until well combined.

Step 4Set broiler on high. Add the mozzarella cheese around to top of pasta and place under broiler until cheese is browned and bubbly.

Step 5Serve immediately
