inside outside ravioli

My aunt brought this recipe home from Vermont one year and everyone had to have it...great for potlucks and cold winter nights.

yield 4 to 6 (can be doubled for potlucks!)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs, seasoned
  • 2 - eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 10 oz cans spinach, reserve liquid
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon salad oil
  • 1 lb can spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz cans tomato sauce, italian seasoned
  • 6 oz cans tomato paste, italian
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • dash pepper
  • reserved - spinach liquid
  • 7 ounces favorite macaroni/pasta
  • 1 can shredded cheese

How To Make inside outside ravioli

  • Step 1
    Combine bread crumbs, eggs, and oil. Spread over bottom of pan and cover with drained spinach.
  • Step 2
    Brown ground beef, drain fat, and add onions, garlic, spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, tomato paste, spinach juice, and spices. Simmer together for 10 minutes. (Use a very large skillet!)
  • Step 3
    Cook macaroni per box instructions and drain.
  • Step 4
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Alternate meat mixture and cooked macaroni over spinach. Cover with cheese and bake for 30 minutes.
