Ingredients
- 1/2 pound elbow macaroni
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 2 tablespoons and 1 1/2 tsp. all-purpose flour
- 3 cups milk
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 pinch paprika
How To Make 'i had a rough day' macaroni & cheese

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 F.

Step 2In a medium saucepan, cook macaroni according to package directions and drain.

Step 3In a saucepan, melt the butter or margarine over medium heat; stir in flour to make a roux.

Step 4Add milk to the roux slowly, stirring constantly; stir in the cheeses and cook over low heat until the cheese is melted and the sauce is a little thick.

Step 5Transfer the macaroni to a 9 X 13-inch casserole dish and pour the sauce over all; stir well.

Step 6Melt butter or margarine in a skillet over medium heat; add the breadcrumbs and brown; spread over macaroni and cheese to cover; sprinkle with paprika.

Step 7Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
