hot dog mac n cheese
My husband is a hot dog freak. He loves them in almost anything. I am always looking for a way to make them more interesting. This is good with a smoky taste.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces elbow macaroni
- 1 pound pkg hot dogs sliced
- 2 pounds velveeta cheese
- 2 - shallots diced
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make hot dog mac n cheese

Step 1Cook the macaroni and drain well. Place in a greased 2 qt. casserole dish. Top with sliced hot dogs.

Step 2Melt the butter on top of stove in a saucepan. Saute the shallots 2 minutes. Add the flour and make a roux. Slowly add the milk and cook until thickened a bit. Slice the Velveeta into pieces and add to milk. Stir and cook until smooth and melted.

Step 3Pour the cheese sauce over the macaroni and hot dogs. Stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Place in preheated 350 degree oven and bake 20 minutes.
