Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 small carrot, minced
- 1 - garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 cup dry red wine
- 1/3 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 - egg, lighly beaten
- 1/4 cup parmesan, shredded
- 1 jar spaghetti sauce, 28 ounces
- 3/4 package lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make homestyle lasagna rolls

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2In a large skillet, thoroughly brown ground beef; drain fat.

Step 3Add mushrooms, onion, carrot and garlic; saute until vegetables are tender.

Step 4Add wine, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper; cook until wine is almost evaporated.

Step 5Remove from heat; allow to cool 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 6In a medium bowl, thoroughly combine meat mixture, mozzarella cheese, egg and 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese.

Step 7Pour 1/2 jar spaghetti sauce evenly in a 13x9\" baking dish.

Step 8Evenly spread 1/3 cup meat filling over length of each lasagna noodle.

Step 9Carefully roll up noodle.

Step 10Place SEAM SIDE DOWN in baking dish.

Step 11Repeat with remaining noodles.

Step 12Bake, covered, 40 minutes.

Step 13Uncover, sprinkle with 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese.

Step 14Bake 5 minutes or until bubbly.
