homemade macaroni and cheese
(1 RATING)
This is a simple and very easy Mac & Cheese recipe that tastes like you've worked hard on it all day! I like to use bow tie pasta but you can use any you want.

Ingredients
- 1 box bow-tie pasta, cooked and drained
- 4 cups finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 package real bacon bits
- 2 cups milk
- 2 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons salt
How To Make homemade macaroni and cheese
-
Step 1Cook and drain the bow tie pasta. Make sure after you cook it and drain it you run cold water over it so it won't cook the eggs when they are added.
-
Step 2Find a casserole pan and grease it, either with spray or butter. Start to layer the ingredients. Put a layer of pasta first, then sprinkle 1.5 to 2 cups of the cheese over it. They cut pads of butter and set them on top of the cheese. I usually put about 5 pads about 1/4 an inch thick each. Then start the layers again; pasta first, then the rest of the cheese. Another 5 pads of butter
-
Step 3Finally, mix the salt, milk, and eggs together and pour them evenly over your layers. Now, preheat the oven to 375 degrees and cook it for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top. Mix it good and then sprinkle the bacon on top, cook another 5 min
