homemade baked macaroni and cheese
This recipe was handed down to me from my Mom who learned it from her Mom. My whole family loves it!! Can be served as either a main dish or side dish. Great either way.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds elbow macaroni, cooked
- 2 pounds extra sharp white cheddar cheese
- 1 quart whole milk only
- dash salt
- dash pepper
How To Make homemade baked macaroni and cheese

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2In Large saucepan, cook macaroni until just done. Drain. While macaroni is cooking, slice cheese in quarter to half inch thick slices. About 3 inches long and 2 inches wide or the width of the cheese.

Step 3After macaroni is cooked and drained, add half to 9 x 13 casserole. Single layer half the cheese across top of macaroni. Add salt and pepper to top but not alot. Just to cover. Layer rest of macaroni on top. Add rest of cheese as before. Add salt and pepper.

Step 4Pour in milk to just passed half or 3 quarters full.

Step 5Place in oven for approx 45 mins to one hour until cheese is golden brown. Enjoy.
