Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick margarine (i use butter)
  • 2 - large onions
  • 1 - large greene pepper
  • 1 - large can of tomatoes
  • 2 cups water
  • 15 ounces can tomato sauce
  • - sugar to taste
  • - salt & pepper to taste
  • 12 ounces bag of uncooked noodles
  • 8 ounces package mozzarella cheese

How To Make grandma's casserole

  • Step 1
    IN A LARGE KETTLE OR DUTCH OVEN SAUTE' 1/2 STICK OF MARGARINE, 2 LARGE ONIONS, CHOPPED, 1 LARGE GREEN PEPPER CUTE IN LONG THIN STRIPS.
  • Step 2
    ADD 2 LBS GROUND CHUCK AND COOK UNTIL MEAT LOSES ITS REDNESS. ADD TOMATOES, WATER, TOMATO SAUCE, SUGAR, SALT & PEPPER
  • Step 3
    IN A 9X12X2 BAKING PAN PLACE A 12 OZ BAG OF UNCOOKED NOODLES. SPOON THE MEAT MIXTURE OVER THE NOODLES, COVER THIS WITH AN 8 OZ PKG OF MOZZARELLA CHEESE. COVER WITH FOIL AND BAKED FOR 1 HOUR IN 350 DEGREE OVEN
