Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick
    margarine (i use butter)
  • 2
    large onions
  • 1
    large greene pepper
  • 1
    large can of tomatoes
  • 2 c
    water
  • 15 oz
    can tomato sauce
  • ·
    sugar to taste
  • ·
    salt & pepper to taste
  • 12 oz
    bag of uncooked noodles
  • 8 oz
    package mozzarella cheese

How to Make GRANDMA'S CASSEROLE

Step-by-Step

  1. IN A LARGE KETTLE OR DUTCH OVEN SAUTE' 1/2 STICK OF MARGARINE, 2 LARGE ONIONS, CHOPPED, 1 LARGE GREEN PEPPER CUTE IN LONG THIN STRIPS.
  2. ADD 2 LBS GROUND CHUCK AND COOK UNTIL MEAT LOSES ITS REDNESS. ADD TOMATOES, WATER, TOMATO SAUCE, SUGAR, SALT & PEPPER
  3. IN A 9X12X2 BAKING PAN PLACE A 12 OZ BAG OF UNCOOKED NOODLES. SPOON THE MEAT MIXTURE OVER THE NOODLES, COVER THIS WITH AN 8 OZ PKG OF MOZZARELLA CHEESE. COVER WITH FOIL AND BAKED FOR 1 HOUR IN 350 DEGREE OVEN
