grandma's baked spaghetti
This is my grandma's recipe, but it is too delicious to keep to myself. I used to request it for my birthday dinner every year growing up. Cozy dish for cool weather. Hope you enjoy! Note: For the cheese I go to the deli and have them cut me a hunk of cheese as close to 1 lb as possible. Better to go over than under:)

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
- 1 - med/lg onion, diced small
- 3/4 teaspoon or 1 pod garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon basil, dried
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can 4oz mushrooms, sliced (do not drain)
- 1 - 28oz and 1 16oz can diced tomatoes (do not drain, and no crushed tomatoes)
- 5 - servings of spaghetti, cook and drain
- 1 pound american cheese, shredded
How To Make grandma's baked spaghetti

Step 1Brown meat and onion in a large pot. Add garlic, basil, parsley flakes, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Cook covered on low for 30 minutes.

Step 2Preheat oven to 350 degrees. While sauce is simmering, cook spaghetti according to package directions.

Step 3When your sauce has simmered for 30 minutes, remove from heat and add spaghetti. Mix until evenly distributed. Pour mixture in 9x13 baking dish and top with cheese

Step 4Bake at 350 until cheese is bubbly and starting to brown. Serve with green salad. Enjoy!
