Ingredients

12 oz
large elbow macaroni
8-16 oz
ground beef 93/7 (i use 1/2 lb)
1/2 medium
onion-minced
3 Tbsp
green pepper-minced
1 clove
garlic (large) minced
1 large
can plum tomatoes - 29 oz
1 Tbsp
sugar
1/4-1/2 tsp
red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp
black pepper-fresh ground
1 tsp
kosher salt
1/4 tsp
celery seed
1
beef bouillon cube

How to Make GOULASH (MACARONI/BEEF)

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cook large macaroni in boiling salted water for 1 minute under package directions.

    While pasta is cooking, mince onion, bell pepper and garlic.

    Drain macaroni and set aside.
  • 2Heat the pasta pot over medium high heat, add ground beef, onion, bell pepper and garlic.
    Cook-stirring 4-5 minutes till meat is cooked through and onions are translucent.

    Remove any fat that accumulated.
  • 3Stir in the red pepper flakes, tomatoes, black pepper, salt, celery seed, bouillion and macaroni.

    Cook over medium high heat for 1 minute stirring constantly.

    Serve.
