Ingredients

  • 3 pounds beef chuck cross rib roast
  • - water to cover roast
  • 1 can whole clams
  • 28 ounces can tomatoes
  • 5 ounces can tomato paste
  • - sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon whole peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 - onions, sliced
  • 8 - cloves garlic
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms

How To Make goulash

  • Step 1
    Cover roast with just enough water in pressure cooker.
  • Step 2
    Cook for 45 minutes until done.
  • Step 3
    Remove roast from liquor and let cool.
  • Step 4
    Add can of whole tomatoes, can of clams, sliced onions, sliced mushrooms, spices and tomato paste.
  • Step 5
    Crush garlics with side of knife and add to stew.
  • Step 6
    Stir and let simmer.
  • Step 7
    When roast has cooled down shred into pieces and add to the stew to simmer.
  • Step 8
    Either serve plain with sour cream on top or stir in sour cream and serve over rice or noodles.
  • Step 9
    Or eat goulash alone, but with someone.
