Ingredients

  • 3 lb
    beef chuck cross rib roast
  • ·
    water to cover roast
  • 1 can(s)
    whole clams
  • 28 oz
    can tomatoes
  • 5 oz
    can tomato paste
  • ·
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    whole peppercorns
  • 1 tsp
    oregano
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    cumin
  • 2
    onions, sliced
  • 8
    cloves garlic
  • 1 c
    fresh mushrooms

How to Make Goulash

Step-by-Step

  1. Cover roast with just enough water in pressure cooker.
  2. Cook for 45 minutes until done.
  3. Remove roast from liquor and let cool.
  4. Add can of whole tomatoes, can of clams, sliced onions, sliced mushrooms, spices and
    tomato paste.
  5. Crush garlics with side of knife and add to stew.
  6. Stir and let simmer.
  7. When roast has cooled down shred into pieces and add to the stew to simmer.
  8. Either serve plain with sour cream on top or stir in sour cream and serve over rice or noodles.
  9. Or eat goulash alone, but with someone.
