goulash
I've had this recipe so long, I had to look up where it came from. . . That being my friend Rhonda. This recipe is hearty and delicious. Simple, affordable, and, did I say it? Delicious. Served with a piece (or 3) of buttered bread, it's perfect for a cold winter's day!

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 3 cups tomato juice

- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 cup uncooked macaroni
How To Make goulash
-
Step 1***Alternate preparation -- Start cooking macaroni by itself, first, according to package directions. Do not add until 5 minutes to end of cook-time. This takes more time and work, but the noodles taste better.***
-
Step 2Brown burger & onion. Drain off excess fat.
-
Step 3Add mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, tomato juice, vinegar, salt, pepper, mustard, and macaroni.
-
Step 4Boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender. Stir occasionally.
