Ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti, uncooked
  • 8 - garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives, snipped
  • 4 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped
  • - salt to taste
  • - pepper to taste

How To Make garlicky pasta with fresh green herbs

  • Step 1
    Cook spaghetti until al dente.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, heat the garlic in the olive oil until it smells fragrant, just a few moments.
  • Step 3
    Toss in the herbs and remove from the heat.
  • Step 4
    Drain the pasta and toss in the pan with the garlicky herbs.
  • Step 5
    Season and serve and do not add cheese as it only interferes with the herbal flavors.
  • Step 6
    Be sure to add enough salt and pepper, however.
