Ingredients

  • 3 lb
    tomatoes
  • 2
    garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp
    dried parsley
  • 1 tsp
    dried basil
  • 3/4 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    sugar
  • 5/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/4 c
    whipping cream
  • 1 lb
    penne, cooked and drained
  • 1/4 c
    parmesan cheese, grated

How to Make Fresh Tomato Pasta Toss

Step-by-Step

  1. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil; dip tomatoes in water.
  2. Peel skins and discard.
  3. Chop pulp; set aside.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, saute garlic in oil.
  5. Add tomato pulp, parsley ,basil, oregano, salt, sugar and pepper; mix well.
  6. Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
  7. Add cream.
  8. Heat through.
  9. Pour over hot pasta and toss to coat.
  10. Sprinkle with cheese.
