This is my tribute to the Italian Flag, using spinach=green, tomato=red, and plain=white fettuccine noodles. This tastes amazingly good!

Ingredients

  • 1 box garden delight fettuccine (carrot, spinach and tomato blend)
  • - olive oil, extra virgin
  • pinch sea salt or regular
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 dashes montreal seasoning
  • 2 dashes paprika
  • 2 dashes garlic salt
  • 1/2 - bag of small shrimp
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped scallions
  • 1/4 - heavy cream

How To Make flag of italy fettuccine w/ shrimp

  • Step 1
In a pot of boiling water, add extra virgin olive oil, a few pinches of salt and then add the pasta. Get a pan and turn on medium high. Put in two tablespoons of butter and allow it to melt for the most part. Add spices on top of the butter: paprika, Montreal Seasoning and garlic salt. Take the chopped scallions and diced tomatoes and add to the butter and spices.
  • Step 2
Add shrimp shortly after and allow those to cook for about 3 to 4 minutes. Once the shrimp are cooked, add in the heavy cream and bring to a boil. After two minutes of boiling, turn down heat immediately, give it a quick stir and cover.
  • Step 3
Drain pasta and place back on stove(heat off). Take the shrimp mixture and gently toss it in the fettuccine. You can add extra tomatoes and scallions if you would like and grated Parmesan is also an option. Eat and enjoy!
