fideo - the easy way
This was my abuela's recipe that she showed be how to do, boy do I miss her cooking!

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or peanut oil
- 1 package (8 oz.) fideo pasta (thin noodles)
- 2-3 - green onions finely chopped or 1 small onion finely chopped
- 3-4 cloves garlic finely chopped or 2 teaspoons chopped garlic in a jar
- 1 can (14 1/2 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1-2 can water (fill the tomato sauce can and use it for your water to add to the fideo)
How To Make fideo - the easy way

Step 1Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

Step 2Add the garlic and onion and cook until they are tender but not browned.

Step 3Next add the fideo to the onion and garlic mixture, and fry until a golden brown.

Step 4Pour in the can of tomato sauce, and 1 can of the water and stir to blend. Bring to a boil, cut your heat down to low and cook with a cover until the liquid has almost evaporated.

Step 5Stir in more water as needed. Cover, and cook over low heat for about 10-15 minutes, or until the fideo is tender, and the sauce has thickened. Then enjoy delicious fideo!
