Fettucine is used in our house instead of traditional spaghetti. More filling and better consistency in my opinion... Try this and see what you think! Variations are welcomed!

Ingredients
- 3/4 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 - onion, finely chopped
- 3 - eggs
- 16 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- - parsley
- - "just a pinch" of salt
- - "just a pinch" of pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 4 ounces fettuccine pasta
How To Make fettucine pie

Step 1Brown meat and onion in skillet.

Step 2Stir in tomatoes, oregano, salt and pepper.

Step 3Bring to boil.

Step 4Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes.

Step 5Remove from heat and add mozzarella and 1/4 cup parmesan.

Step 6Let stand 9-12 minutes.

Step 7Meanwhile, cook fettucine.

Step 8Beat eggs and stir in remaining parmesan, butter, parsley and garlic powder.

Step 9Stir into hot noodles.

Step 10Spoon onto tomato mixture.

Step 11Cover and cook over low heat, 15 minutes or until set.

Step 12Let stand 5 minutes.

Step 13Turn out on round platter.
