This is a creamy garlic-forward Alfredo with a calamari surprise.

Ingredients

  • 2 heads garlic cloves, peeled and minced
  • 1 pound calamari body, cut into slices
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 12 ounces fettuccine
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan
  • salt and pepper

How To Make fettuccine and calamari garlic alfredo

  • Step 1
    Start to cook the fettuccine in a pot of heavily salted boiling water.
  • Step 2
    In another saucepan, add the butter and oil, and add the garlic, cooking until the garlic is browned. Be careful not to burn.
  • Step 3
    Add the calamari and cook until the calamari start to curl.
  • Step 4
    Drain the fettuccine and add the pasta back to the pan.
  • Step 5
    Add the garlic calamari mixture. Set aside.
  • Step 6
    Add the other 2 tablespoons of butter to the saucepan and then add the heavy cream, parsley, and Parmesan cheese. Cook until the cheese is melted.
  • Step 7
    Then pour over the fettuccine and mix well. Place on a plate and add more Parmesan cheese if desired.
