Wanted lasagna but didn't have any noodles or mozzarella cheese so I came up with this

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 8 ounces ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 6 ounces aged white cheddar cheese shredded
  • fresh basil for garnish

How To Make egg noodle lasagna with aged white cheddar cheese

  • Step 1
    Cook the noodles in salted boiling water. While they are cooking place the ricotta in a bowl and add the egg, parmesan cheese, and parsley Mix well.
  • Step 2
    Add a little oil in a saucepan add the onion, and garlic. Saute 3 minutes. Add the ground beef and cook until the beef is no longer pink. Add the spaghetti sauce and cook until warm through.
  • Step 3
    Preheat oven 350 degrees. Grease a square baking pan. Mix the noodles with the ricotta mixture. Place the noodles in the baking pan.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle with half the cheese. Spoon the sauce over top and top with remaining cheese. Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Step 5
    To serve cut 4 equal portions and place one on a plate. Take a second serving on top. Garnish with basil
