eazy cheezy mac n cheeze bake

My kids twisted their faces into knots when they saw me with ricotta cheese for their mac n cheese supper...until they tasted it! Absolutely our family's fave mac n cheese made super easy! Great entree, just add veggies and/or biscuits/bread! YUM

Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni (cooked al dente and drained)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 8 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 8 ounces monterey jack cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (any type)
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • - olive oil to coat lasagna pan/dish for baking

How To Make eazy cheezy mac n cheeze bake

  • Step 1
    Cook elbow macaroni per box instructions to al dente ( 1-1 1/2 minutes under regular cooking time), drain, place back in pot and add stick of butter to melt.
  • Step 2
    Prepare lasagna pan/dish by coating with Olive oil.
  • Step 3
    Add Milk, nutmeg, ricotta cheese to macaroni and stir til mixed.
  • Step 4
    Add in sharp cheddar and monteray jack cheeses.
  • Step 5
    Pour into prepared pan/dish for baking.
  • Step 6
    Mix together parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs and paprika and sprinkle over top of macaroni.
  • Step 7
    Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for about 30-35 minutes, until bubbly and top is light golden brown.
  • Step 8
