Easy to throw together, and only one dish and one cooking pot. You can also add mushrooms, onions, peppers, whatever, if you like; but I was trying to keep this at 6 ingredients or less.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pkg
    frozen meatballs (about 1/2 pound)
  • 1 jar(s)
    spaghetti sauce, any flavor
  • 8 oz
    dry ziti pasta
  • 12 oz
    cottage cheese
  • 2 c
    shredded mozzarella
  • 3 Tbsp
    grated parmesan cheese

How to Make Easy Ziti Bake

Step-by-Step

  1. Place meatballs and spaghetti sauce in a dish that can go in the microwave and the oven. It should hold about 2 quarts. Cover and microwave about 4 minutes on high, to heat sauce and meatballs.
  2. Cook Ziti pasta according to package directions, then drain.
  3. Stir cottage cheese into meatball-spaghetti mixture until well blended. Then stir in the cooked Ziti until it is distributed evenly.
  4. Top evenly with shredded mozzarella, then sprinkle Parmesan on top. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly and cheese is melted and starting to brown. This takes about 30-40 minutes.
  5. Serve with tossed salad and garlic bread.
