This recipe came from my niece's home economics class. We made it for Easter as a side dish, and it is not only easy but delicious! Leftovers are also good eaten cold.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups bowtie pasta, uncooked
  • 2 1/2 cups assorted cut up vegetables (can use frozen)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme leaves

How To Make easy pasta primavera

  • Step 1
    Cook pasta in a large saucepan, adding vegetables during the last 3-4 minutes of cooking. Drain well and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Using the same saucepan, place cream, cheese, broth, butter, dill weed, garlic, salt and thyme. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly with a wire whisk. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add pasta and vegetables; toss gently to coat. Serve with additional parmesan.
