This recipe came from my niece's home economics class. We made it for Easter as a side dish, and it is not only easy but delicious! Leftovers are also good eaten cold.

  • 2 c
    bowtie pasta, uncooked
  • 2 1/2 c
    assorted cut up vegetables (can use frozen)
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 c
    chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
    dill weed
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    thyme leaves

How to Make Easy Pasta Primavera


  1. Cook pasta in a large saucepan, adding vegetables during the last 3-4 minutes of cooking. Drain well and set aside.
  2. Using the same saucepan, place cream, cheese, broth, butter, dill weed, garlic, salt and thyme. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly with a wire whisk. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes.
  3. Add pasta and vegetables; toss gently to coat. Serve with additional parmesan.
