easy pasta bake with sausage and pimento

This is my variation of a recipe my mom used to make... I make is spicier than hers and leave out the green olives. My kids love this and have since they were little. When they come home to visit, this is the comfort food they ask me to make.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces shell or rotini pasta
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1 jar pimentos (use the jar that is double the tiniest size)
  • 1-3 tablespoon red pepper sauce (adjust to your tastes)
  • 12 ounces sausage (the type will vary the taste, but we like good old breakfast links)

  • Step 1
    Cook the pasta to al dente
  • Step 2
    while pasta cooks, cook the sausages until brown, breaking them into pieces with spatula. other kinds of sausage can be used too.
  • Step 3
    Mix all of the ingredients together: sausage, pasta, soup, pimento, and pepper sauce--even some of the drippings from the sausage--and spread into a casserole dish.
  • Step 4
    bake at 350 for 20 minutes. EAT!
