easy pantry pasta sauce
My friend's favorite, quick easy pasta sauce. Only a few things are absolutely needed, the rest are to enhance flavor! The can sizes quoted are based on making a 1 pound box of pasta. Adjust as needed for the amount you want to make.

Ingredients
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 ounce)
- 1 can tomato paste (6 ounces)
- 1 can diced tomatoes, do not drain (14.5 ounces)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 4-6 - baby bella mushrooms, chopped
- 1 pound ground meat (optional)
How To Make easy pantry pasta sauce

Step 1Blend tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, sugar and garlic in a bowl until smooth. Set aside.

Step 2Saute onions with olive oil until halfway cooked, add diced tomatoes.

Step 3If adding meat to the sauce, fry in pan with onions until brown then add diced tomatoes.

Step 4Let simmer for about 5 minutes, then add mushrooms.

Step 5Simmer until the sauce is at the consistency you desire.
