easy manicotti with cheese

I have been making this recipe since 1988. It has been a family favorite since the very beginning. It is very easy to put together and you can also use low-fat ingredients if you want to cut back on calories, etc. You have the option of serving it with a side saled as well.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 ounces manicotti shells, uncooked
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How To Make easy manicotti with cheese

  • Step 1
    Heat spaghetti sauce and water in saucepan to boiling; reduce heat and keep warm. Mix together ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, parsley, salt and pepper. Spoon mixture into uncooked Manicotti. Pour 1 cup sauce on bottom of 13x9x2 cassarole dish. Arrange filled Manicotti in a single layer over sauce. Pour remaining sauce over Manicotti. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove foil; bake 10 minutes more.
