Ingredients
- 1 box (8 ounces) elbow macaroni or shells, cooked
- 2-4 cups spaghetti sauce
- 1 pound cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
- 1 pound ground meat
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- basil, oregano, garlic salt, and pepper
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
How To Make lasagna casserole

Step 1Put the spaghetti sauce in a pot , and heat slowly. Season sauce with oregano, basil, garlic salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2Fry the meat, onion, and green pepper in a skillet until the meat is browned and the onions are transparent. Pour off excess grease.

Step 3Mix the macaroni and spaghetti sauce. Mix ricotta cheese, eggs, parmesan and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese.

Step 4Put in a 13 X 9 inch casserole a thin layer of sauce, then 1/3 of the macaroni, then half of the ricotta cheese, then half of the meat mixture and another 1/3 macaroni, rest of ricotta cheese and meat.

Step 5Put remaining macaroni on top and cover with mozzarella cheese.

Step 6Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
