How To Make easy lasagna
-
Step 1Our cook will make the homemade meatballs and italian sausage in the sauce or just add chopped meat sauce to make it a meat sauce.
-
Step 2In a large heavy pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and peppers and Italian sausage. Cook 3-5 minutes. Add oregano and crushed garlic and cook about 2 more minutes. Add all canned tomatoes. Add 1/2 can water from each can. Be sure to stir well to get all the tomato out of the cans. Stir gently with wooden spoon. Add salt, pepper and basil. Reduce to simmer and cook for about 4 to 5 hours. Feel free to add more basil and garlic to taste. I like to prepare the sauce the day before I make the lasagna. Be sure to heat the sauce before assembling lasagna.
-
Step 3Cook ravoli and drain according to directions. Be sure not to over cook as you will be baking them.
-
Step 4In a 2 1/2 to 3 quart baking dish put 1/2 cup of marinara sauce. Carefully place cooked ravoli over sauce. Put about another 1/2 cup of sauce on top. Cut sausage injto small pieces and place over sauce. Sprinkle about 2/3 cup of mozzarella cheese. Put another layer of ravoli on top and pour cup of sauce over and add rest of cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan-Romano. Bake about 20 minutes to 1/2 our at 350 degrees.
