This is my favorite Chicken Alfredo recipe ever! I got this recipe from another website and have adapted it and added the basil. It really makes the sauce!

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces linguine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 1/2 ounces chopped spinach
  • 3 ounces sun dried tomato
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

How To Make dreamy chicken pasta

  • Step 1
    Cook pasta according to pasta directions.
  • Step 2
    Before draining pasta set aside a cup of the salted pasta water just in case.
  • Step 3
    For chicken… Sprinkle both sides of chicken with salt and pepper
  • Step 4
    Melt half the butter in a large skillet over high heat
  • Step 5
    Add chicken and cook for two minutes on each side until deep golden brown.
  • Step 6
    Remove chicken on the plate rest for a few minutes and then shred.
  • Step 7
    For the sauce… Turn down the heat to medium high. In the same skillet add remaining butter and garlic.
  • Step 8
    Cook garlic slowly for 30 seconds until golden, then add the wine.
  • Step 9
    Stir garlic and wine, simmer. Once mostly evaporated, add chicken broth, cream, Parmesan cheese and sun-dried tomatoes.
  • Step 10
    Simmer on medium for 3 to 5 minute stirring until it reduces and thickens. Add basil
  • Step 11
    Add spinach, chicken, and pasta. Toss pasta until the sauce thickens and coats pasta well. Use pasta water to thin sauce if needed. A little at a time.
