Ingredients
- 2 pounds chuck or round steak, cut in cubes
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup onion
- 1 small garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- - pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1.5 cups water
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 package noodles, 8 ounces
How To Make diner goulash

Step 1Brown first 4 ingredients.

Step 2Combine and mix ketchup, brown sugar, salt, paprika, pepper, dry mustard and worcestershire sauce.

Step 3Add mixture and 1 1/2 cup water to meat mixture.

Step 4Simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

Step 5When meat is tender, mix flour and 1/4 cup cold water.

Step 6Stir into meat mixture.

Step 7Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.

Step 8Boil 1 minute.

Step 9Pour over hot cooked noodles.
