- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) can diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 ounces) can tomato paste
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 can (7 ounces) button mushrooms (optional)
- 1 package (16 ounces) thin spaghetti, cooked
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese, optional
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
