I made this for my husband's birthday. He always wants Lasagna. I usually buy him the frozen one at the store but against his wishes I made him one. He wasn't disappointed.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 pound mild italian sausage
  • 1 box no boil noodles
  • 2 15oz cans diced tomatoes original flavor
  • 1 6oz cans tomato sauce
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1 teaspoon each basil and oregano (dried)
  • 1 med - onion
  • 3 toes - garlic
  • 2 cups mozzarella
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 3 dashes sriracha
  • 2 cups bechamel (your own recipe)

How To Make dee lishous lasagna

  • Step 1
break up the beef and sausage in a skillet. if your sausage is in casings... remover the casings. Add in the diced onion and cook until meat is brown and onions are translucent. Then put in the smashed and minced garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
Dump in the tomatoes. (I used diced fire roasted or un flavored tomatoes I don't care for tomatoes that already have flavors in them.) And the sauce, vodka and herbs and the sriracha . Cook until onions are done.
  • Step 3
Mean while make your bechamel. Soon you are ready to layer the ingredients. You should follow the instructions on the box of noodles. (I only added a small can of water to the final product because the tomatoes have a lot of water in them to hydrate the noodles.) put some sauce on the bottom of the sprayed lasagna pan. then top with a layer of noodles. another layer of sauce, motz, parm, and then the bechamel. repeat as many times as you have ingredients to do so. The pan I used was so big I only had two layers but a smaller pan would result in more layers. finish with sauce, and cheese. top with a good sprinkling of black pepper.. that roasted pepper adds a great flavor.
  • Step 4
I baked covered for about half an hour then uncovered for a while longer.. I don't remember truthfully. But follow the directions on your noodle box. important step. Let sit for about 15 min before cutting.. It will tighten up and you will get better squares of lasagna.
