1 lb
sweet italian sausage
1 can(s)
(15 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can(s)
(14 oz.) diced tomatoes
1 tsp
oregano, dried
1 tsp
garlic powder
salt and pepper
1/4 c
olive oil
2 tsp
granulated sugar
1/2-3/4 lb
penne pasta
1 c
shredded mozzarella
parmesan cheese

How to Make Crock pot Penne


  • 1Cook sausage (casings removed) in frying pan on medium heat until browned & crumbly. Drain well.
  • 2Place in crockpot. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, oil and sugar. Stir well.
  • 3Cook on low 7 to 8 hours.
  • 4Salt large pot of water and cook 1/2 - 3/4 lb of penne 4-5 minutes less than directions on box call for.
  • 5Add penne and stir well.
  • 6Top with 1 cup of shredded mozzarella.
  • 7Continue to cook on high for 15-20 minutes or until pasta is tender and heated and the cheese has melted.
