- 1 package smoked sausage,sliced
- 2 cups cheese, shredded
- 1 box macaroni, elbow
- 4 cups milk
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
How To Make creamy smoked sausage mac and cheese

Step 1Lightly brown sliced sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels and set aside.

Step 2Cook pasta according to pkg. directions and drain. Set aside.

Step 3Pour the milk into microwavable bowl and heat until warm about 2 1/2 minures.

Step 4In large pot melt butter over med. heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute stirring constantly. Gradually add the warm milk, whisking constantly until it is all added like a roux. Cook stirring very frequently until thick, about 5 minutes.

Step 5Reduce heat to low and gradually add the cheese stirring constantly until melted. Add salt and mix well.

Step 6Add cooked pasta and sausage to the pot and mix well. Enjoy.
