creamy parmesan and garlic pasta

My three favorites in one pot. Cheese, garlic, and angel hair pasta! I just love this sauce. Makes a great side or a light lunch with some crusty bread. One of the best comfort foods I know. You can add so many foods to this. I just like it plain and simple as always.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 1/2 pound spaghetti or angel hair pasta
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

How To Make creamy parmesan and garlic pasta

  • Step 1
    In a pot, bring the olive oil to medium-low heat.
  • Step 2
    Add the garlic and stir. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Mix in the butter until melted.
  • Step 4
    Add the salt and pepper.
  • Step 5
    Add the chicken stock.
  • Step 6
    Raise the heat to high and let it come to a boil.
  • Step 7
    Once it is at a rolling boil, add the pasta and cook for as long as the box’s directions say.
  • Step 8
    You want it aldente. I always do a shorter time.
  • Step 9
    Turn off the heat. Mix in the Parmesan until completely melted.
  • Step 10
    Stir in the cream.
  • Step 11
    Stir in parsley.
  • Step 12
    Sprinkle with some Parmesan and serve immediately.
