This dish is made with ingredients you have in the cupboard and/or refrigerator..the evaporated milk makes the sauce creamy without rhe added fat of whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 12 ounces lean ground beef
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth, reduced sodium
  • 1 can evaporated milk {370ml}
  • 1 cup frozen peas thawed
  • 1 1/2 cups extra old cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/3 cup chopped parsley
  • 4 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • - salt and pepper
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

How To Make creamy beef noodles

  • Step 1
    Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and set aside.
  • Step 2
    In large saucepan melt butter, add onions and cook until they begin to soften about 3 minutes, add garlic and cook another minute or two, add beef breaking it up with wooden spoon cook about 5 minutes, stir in flour ans cook another 2 minutes, stir in broth and milk, bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium stir in the peas, cheddar cheese, mustard parsley and S and P.
  • Step 3
    combine the pasta with the other ingredients and sprinkle with the parmesan cheese...sprinkle with a little paprika for added color and flavor.
