Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 can (1 lb) tomatoes, chopped or pureed
- 12 ounces tomato paste
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon sugr
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
- 8 ounces lasagna noodles, cooked
- 1 pound ricotta cheese
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
How To Make classic lasagna

Step 1In a large heavy skillet, lightly brown meat and onion in oil.

Step 2Add tomatoes, paste, water, parsley, salt, sugar, garlic powder, pepper,and oregano and simmer uncovered about 30 minutes.

Step 3Cook noodles as directed; drain.

Step 4Spread about1 cup sauce in bottom of 9x13 pan

Step 5Alternate layers of noodles, sauce, ricotta, mozzarella & parmesan, ending with sauce, mozzarella & parmesan.

Step 6Bake 40-50 minutes @ 350. Allow to stand 15 minutes, cut in squares.
