ground beef
3/4 c
chopped onion
2 Tbsp
1 can(s)
(1 lb) tomatoes, chopped or pureed
12 oz
tomato paste
2 c
1 Tbsp
chopped parsley
2 tsp
1 tsp
1 tsp
garlic powder
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1/2 tsp
oregano leaves
8 oz
lasagna noodles, cooked
1 lb
ricotta cheese
8 oz
mozzarella cheese (shredded)
1 c
grated parmesan cheese

How to Make Classic Lasagna


  • 1In a large heavy skillet, lightly brown meat and onion in oil.
  • 2Add tomatoes, paste, water, parsley, salt, sugar, garlic powder, pepper,and oregano and simmer uncovered about 30 minutes.
  • 3Cook noodles as directed; drain.
  • 4Spread about1 cup sauce in bottom of 9x13 pan
  • 5Alternate layers of noodles, sauce, ricotta, mozzarella & parmesan, ending with sauce, mozzarella & parmesan.
  • 6Bake 40-50 minutes @ 350.

    Allow to stand 15 minutes, cut in squares.
